Health care can be a complex web of paperwork and bureaucracy. When you want to bring innovations to the health care world, it can be frustrating — if you don’t have the right partner.

Gotcare works with both public health, private sector and academic partners to bring health care technology into people’s homes, in ways that many of our partners couldn’t have imagined before working with us. We understand how to navigate within existing structures and frameworks to bring innovation into the system.

Even when we’re tackling a new challenge, we don’t give up easily. We enlist our knowledgeable practitioners and contacts to help us find a way. The pathways in health care may be long and winding, but there’s always a way to get through them.

Co-design the future

We’re not big fans of telling you how to run your business. Instead, we want to work with you to co-create solutions that work for you and your clients. Gotcare includes you in every step of the process, from brainstorming to strategy to implementation.

For instance, Covenant Living wanted to modernize their paper-based system for their retirement homes. Instead of just giving them our AI and tech tools, we brainstormed and then implemented the Digital Enhanced Care Platform at one of their Calgary retirement homes to see how it goes.

Gotcare’s platform provides custom care plans for each resident, fall incident reporting, track routine care services and prompt escalations when necessary. Residents can also use the platform to stay connected with loved ones, become notified of activities taking place in the residence and track how they feel day to day. This allows Covenant Living to support its residents to feel empowered and safe while aging in place.

Improve client experience through interoperability

Gotcare not only helps co-create and strategize ideas, but also implements them. We employ the largest pool of caregivers in Canada and have the technology to bring health care into the home. We can provide the tools for you to implement your innovations.

For instance, we’ve worked with several insurance companies on implementing self-managed care for their clients, rather than going along with a mandated schedule for them. This lowers their claim utilization because they choose the care they want and need, rather than working on a schedule dictated by a case manager.

We also enable client self-management through virtual care. We train — and continue to upskill — our care workers to use technology to monitor key metrics in real-time, ranging from biometrics to changes in mobility, cognition and mental health. This means that care comes faster and more efficiently to your clients.
